Virtue signaling is when someone publicly shows off that they are morally good, often by posting, performing, or loudly agreeing, but critics say it is mainly to look good instead of actually doing the hard, useful stuff. It is basically moral flexing for an audience, like holding up a sign that says “I care,” while doing the minimum. And the roast is, people who yell “virtue signaling” are not immune, they are just virtue signaling about how they are above
