Quiet quitting means you do only the work you are paid and assigned to do, and you stop going above and beyond without announcing a dramatic “I quit” moment. It is basically enforcing your boundaries, just with a darker Gen Z PR campaign. People hate it because it exposes the old deal where extra effort was expected, not agreed.
