NPC behavior means someone acts like they are on autopilot, repeating what people expect, following the “script,” not really thinking or reacting like a person with their own opinions. It is basically the internet calling you a video game background character, which is funny because real NPCs at least have an excuse, they were programmed, you just volunteered to be boring.
