Top tier

Top tier just means the best level, like the highest quality stuff that feels elite. People use it like a compliment or a ranking, for example, that meal is top tier, or that movie is top tier. It is basically gamer lingo for “no notes,” and somehow the internet still sounds surprised when something is actually good.
