Girl boss is basically internet shorthand for a woman who acts like she is in charge, usually a CEO type energy, sometimes said as a compliment, sometimes used as side eye. The newer twist is that people use it to mock “fake empowerment” when it sounds like hustle culture but with a pink bow, like success that is more branding than actual leadership.
