Gatekeeping is when someone claims they get to decide who is “real” or “allowed” in a group, and blocks people with rules like, “You do not know enough,” “You are not doing it right,” or “You are not one of us.” It is like running a club where the bouncer is also the internet, and the ticket price is mind reading and trivia you never agreed to study.
