Engagement bait is when someone posts something on purpose to get people to react, like “Wait for it” or “You won’t believe this,” often in a confusing or ragey way just to farm comments, likes, and clicks. It is basically emotional fishing with an algorithm as the net. Kind of like spam, but with feelings attached.
