Doom and gloom is the vibe of talking like everything is falling apart and it will only get worse, usually with a dramatic “we are doomed” energy. People use it when news or comments are packed with negativity, fear, and worst case predictions, even if nothing has actually happened yet. Basically, it is the internet’s way of doing emotional clickbait.
