“Deluxe edition” online usually just means the paid-up, upgraded version of something, like an album, game, or product, with extra stuff bundled in. It is not a brand new thing most of the time, it is the same core package plus bonus tracks, DLC, bonus scenes, or extra cosmetics. And yes, it is basically the marketing world saying, “You can have the regular one, or you can pay extra so we can call it deluxe.”
