A conspiracy theory is when someone explains an event by saying there is a secret, coordinated plot behind it, usually by powerful people, not a normal explanation. The roast is that the story always has a villain, a master plan, and never enough proof, so it turns uncertainty into “I cracked the code.” Merriam-Webster and other dictionaries describe it as blaming hidden collusion by conspirators.
